Plant in sun or partial shade in fertile, moisture-retentive soil. Water regularly during dry periods, particularly in the first year after planting. Remove faded flower stems once flowering has finished and cut back old growth in late autumn or early spring. Divide established clumps every few years to maintain healthy, vigorous growth.
